Discover Aboriginal Art: Culture Through Creativity

Hands-on workshops for Schools, Community Groups and organisations

Workshops are led by a local Aboriginal artist/s, these workshop offer a meaningful introduction to Aboriginal art, symbols, and storytelling in a safe, respectful, and inspiring environment.

* Please note these workshops are only available within the Mornington Peninsula area. Any areas outside this can be arranged by contacting me at kyliearmstrongart@gmail.com

Necklace design

Details: each participant will be guided to create their own design on a wooden rounds (2 per participant), hemp cord will be used to create a necklace that tells a story.

Cost: $600.00 (no GST)

Duration: Up to 2 hours 

Group Size: 25 participants per session (custom quotes for smaller or larger groups)

Location: At your school or community venue

Materials: All provided

Acrylic on canvas

Details: each participant will be guided to create their own design based around a local area theme . 

Cost: $600.00 (no GST)

Duration: Up to 2 hours 

Group Size: 25 participants per session (custom quotes for smaller or larger groups)

Location: At your school or community venue

Materials: All provided , canvas size varies and is no larger than 20cmx20cm

Healing stone creation

Details: each participant will create their own design on a glass stone (2 per participant), these can be used for healing, storytelling or personal reminders.

Cost: $600.00 (no GST)

Duration: Up to 2 hours 

Group Size: 25 participants per session (custom quotes for smaller or larger groups)

Location: At your school or community venue

Materials: All provided

Mural design workshop

Details: the group will work together to create a mural on hardwood marine grade plywood (1220x610mm) and coated with anti-graffiti coating (off site)

*please note installation and framing is not included.

Cost: $850.00 (no GST)

Duration: Up to 2 hours 

Group Size: 25 participants per session (custom quotes for smaller or larger groups)

Location: At your school or community venue

Materials: All provided

DIY necklace kit

Details: DIY kits are available for groups to use, an electronic facilitator guide will be provided to support delivery. Please note that these kits are not a substitute for the depth of learning and cultural knowledge shared in a full workshop led by an Aboriginal facilitator.

Cost: $15 per kit, each participant will receive a small selection of acrylic paint, dotting tool, brush, 2 wooden rounds and hemp cord to create their own necklaces.

*please note, a clear sealer is recommended and not supplied with this kit.
